The basics on what Flowly is, what it costs, and how it handles your data.
About Flowly
What is Flowly?
Flowly is task capture stripped down to what actually matters: type a line, tag it with #tag, give it a @status, and see everything on one Board or List. There's no separate project or workflow to set up first — every Status you've typed simply becomes a column on the Board.
Is Flowly available now?
Flowly is in the final stretch before its App Store debut. This site will link straight to the download the moment it's live — check back soon, or watch the Release Notes for progress.
What's the difference between a Tag and a Status?
A Tag (#name) is a freely multi-valued label — a Task can carry several at once, each with its own auto-assigned color. A Status (@name) is a single state a Task is in at a time — assigning a new Status replaces the old one, and every distinct Status becomes a column on the Board.
Does archiving a Task delete it?
No. Archiving marks a Task as done and hides it from your active List or Board, but it's never deleted — toggle "Show Archived" any time to bring it back.
How do reminders work?
Type a date or time inline — like "tomorrow at 5pm" — and Flowly schedules a local notification on your device. Reminders are parsed and scheduled entirely on-device and don't require an account or a server.
Pricing & the free trial
How much does Flowly cost?
Flowly is free to use in full for 14 days. After that, a single one-time purchase of $4.99 unlocks it permanently — no subscription, no recurring charge, ever.
What happens when my trial ends?
Past the 14-day trial without purchasing, Flowly's paywall blocks new use until you buy the one-time unlock. Nothing you've entered is lost — your Tasks, Tags, and Statuses are exactly where you left them once you purchase.
Do I need to buy Flowly again for each device?
No. The one-time purchase unlocks Flowly on every device signed into the same iCloud account. Use "Restore Purchase" in Settings on a new device to re-apply it.
Sync & privacy
Do I need to create an account?
No. Flowly uses only your device's existing iCloud account for sync — there's nothing to sign up for.
How does sync work across my devices?
iCloud (via CloudKit) privately syncs your Tasks, Tags, and Statuses across every Mac, iPad, and iPhone signed into the same iCloud account. Make sure iCloud is turned on in Settings on each device you want to sync.
Does Flowly track me or show ads?
No. Flowly has no analytics, no ad network, and no third-party tracking of any kind. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
Platforms
Which devices does Flowly support?
iPhone, iPad, and Mac — with a layout suited to each: a persistent sidebar and resizable two-pane view on Mac and iPad, and a focused single-column flow on iPhone.
Is there a Windows or Android version?
Not currently. Flowly is built for Apple platforms so it can rely on iCloud for private, serverless sync without any account system.
